George Smilovici

George Smilovici became a household name in the 80s when he topped the Music charts worldwide, knocking Stevie Wonder from the number 1 spot with a comedy routine, called “I’M TUFF”. These days he has his AfroCuban orchestra, FRENTE CALIENTE, in Cuba where he lives half the year recording his music and performing. While in Australia he’s playing some wonderfully, tasty Latino/ Flamenco Jazzy/ Bluesy guitar and soulfully singing his original compositions and exciting versions of great songs both in Spanish and English from the 40s, 50s, 60s and today.
